Why Choose Puh’tok?
Camp Puh’tok offers 67 acres of pristine woodlands to explore, as well as unique gathering, meeting, lodging and dining spaces. Surrounded by Gunpowder State Park, Puh’tok provides easy access to miles of additional hiking trails, canoeing, tubing and fishing along the renowned Gunpowder River.
At Puh’tok the possibilities for outdoor learning and leadership experiences are endless! Currently, Baltimore County Public Schools, as well as several private schools and community-based organizations, utilize Puh’tok for day and overnight outdoor learning experiences and retreats.
Most of the schools and groups visiting Puh’tok lead their own activities, but in many cases we can customize your experience to offer additional activities such as: low and high ropes course adventures, swimming, guided hikes, archery, Native American History, dance and crafts, horse-back riding, pioneering skills, outdoor cooking, arts and crafts, Early American history, stream ecology, and wildlife presentations.
